It was a happy day for me on Saturday because I had my first short story published in a book called "dd3 writers", which is on sale now from Amazon.
The book put together 11 writers' short stories. Most of them have their stories published first time in their life.
My story is a cross-culture love story between 2 lonely souls: both are strong-minded, both are doing well in their career, both are approaching 40s and suffering from mid-life crisis.

At 8:30pm, James was preparing for his presentation at the lobby cafe in the hotel in Sanya, Hainan Island, the Hawaii of China. The hotel stands by the beach.
Sipping his coffee and hearing the rhythm from the waves which yearned to reach out and connect people, James was trying to focus. Yet images of the woman he had met in Beijing a few days ago kept popping up. James' job took him all over the world, even into the most unstable and dangerous situations in South America and Eastern Europe. But never had he felt danger like he was feeling now: the danger of falling in love. This was his last frontier: not letting anyone to come into his heart. He had been hurt. Never again. He was fighting hard and tried to focus on his presentation. But he failed. So he gestured for another coffee. This was his fourth in an hour...
So on the moonlit beach on an island lying off the most southern tip of China, fate brought Li Ping from Hong Kong and James from Scotland together. From there, they started their long-distance relationship. The waves finally reached their destination to the hearts of two lonely souls. The moon illuminated the dark corners of their hearts. The wind broke down the barriers in their mind. The stars changed the direction of their lives...
