Culture World : Argentina
Fine-meat eating, a breath-taking Tango performance with live band is just a few yet important markers of Argentina’s culture. Their soft-tasteful meat stems from how they purposely raise the cattle. First, the cattle are kept in a confined space to avoid building muscles and are fed a specially made solely organic based grass with almost no additives. The lack of muscles adds to the softness of the meat which is internationally acclaimed as one of the most mouth-dissolving meat. The special food given to the cattle is what makes the taste so savory and unique in contrast to cattle raised in random farms where they freely walk and eat what is available in the pasture. Argentina’s are therefore proud of their meat and have gained a reputable place in the international market.

Another unique feature of Argentina is the Tango. Born from sailors and prostitutes freely dancing at the ports in the early eighteen hundreds, it is today an energetic, acrobatic, and sensual dance that requires an average eight hour daily rehearsal. The men often play the persuader role, with typical stripped suit, handkerchief in one of the upper pockets, elegant veneer shoes and a slightly slanted hat conveying an overall charismatic, elegant sharp, and wealthy style. The women are sensually dressed, with often times a knee long skirt with a cut in the left leg up to the groin area and with appropriate high-heeled Tango shoes. A Tango performance is often comprised of a few couples and may last up to two hours, which once again shows their physical endurance but also the passion and mysticism of Argentinean culture.
